Well we all recognised that there would need to be Government money spent on the Official Visit last month by His Holiness The Pope. No arguments about that, it was an official visit, however to make the Department for International Development contribute a fifth of the cost, nearly £2 million towards that cost is disgusting.
Imagine what that money could have bought for a deprived community in South America, Sub-Sahara Africa or parts of Asia.
Have this Government really got its priorities right?
