Tweeting Can Seriously Damage Your Career Prospects

When you hold a position of responsibility. A position as an elected official, whether in politics or in the local residents group, many other people do look up to you.
So why on earth has a Birmingham Tory Councillor posted this appalling tweet?
Not only has he been arrested for the tweet and bailed, he could be facing charges and if found guilty end up being kicked out of his job and career. One would expect a lawyer to know better, but is this a case of lots of brains but little common sense?
That said, what about the ramifications of the poor woman and her family. I know from experience the taunting that my children went through, just because I was actively involved in politics
Here we have a clear case of engaging mouth, or in his case fingers before brain and it's probably gonna cost one way or another.
Rightly or wrongly tweeting can be enjoyable, but like everything else, one needs to read the warning notices, it can be a  problem when you don't think about what you are doing.
