Twenty Is Plenty and Forty Is Naughty

The local Police have agreed to mount a laser speed enforcement campaign along Brandwood Road and Grove Road after we, that's Barry Henley and myself complained that some motorists have been doing well over forty miles an hour in Brandwood Road and Grove Road.

As recently as this week, there has been another road traffic accident, as a result of speeding vehicles, resulting in several cars being damaged and a street lighting column falling down.
When will Birmingham City Council realise that speeding vehicles in Brandwood and Grove Roads are a menace and do something about them. I am hoping that the high visible Police presence will be the first of many initiatives to enforce motorists, who use our local roads as a race track, putting at risk the lives of children and adults alike, will curb their passion for speed or magistrates hit their pockets hard with large speeding fines.
I have this morning arranged to walk the constituency Highway's around the area to establish what can be done physically to reduce traffic speeds.
