Clearing Snow Off The Pavement- Get Out And Do It

Now to completely upset a number of people who don't or won't clear the snow from a pavement outside their own home because they believe (genuinely) that if someone slipped up they can be sued.
There's no law stopping you from clearing snow and ice on the pavement outside your home. It's unlikely you'll be sued or held legally responsible for any injuries on the path if you have cleared it carefully so just follow the snow code when clearing  and you're in the clear.

  1. I do like the way that you say it's all a myth, but then cover your own back by saying, "It's UNLIKELY you'll be sued"

  2. Commenting on Brummie Tory;
    One can NEVER say that some ambulance chaser won’t at least try to get some legal aid to bring a case. However, if residents follow the “Snow Code” as published by the Government, then all will be alright.
    So stop trying to score political points on a serious matter to those who have to walk on pavements.

  3. I never try and score political points, that's your domain which you've had many a year to practice.

    I just like pointing out inconsistencies on this inconsistent blog. :-)

    Merry Christmas.
