Bickering in public for any political organisation should be frowned upon, but for two prominent Conservative Councillors to bicker over the benefits of Be Active a city wide fitness initiative, originally started by my colleague Councillor Carl Rice in Ladywood Constituency, is unforgivable.
Be Active has won not only national but international recognition and awards for the pro-active approach taken by some to tackle obesity and lack of fitness in adults across the whole city, regardless of income.
Illness sees no financial barriers when it comes to heart attacks, strokes and other serious debilitating illnesses.So why is one former cabinet member, who lost his post because he was a loose cannon having a go at another cabinet member. Is it all down to posturing come next May Tory Group AGM?????
