It's that time of year again, when the SAT results for key stage 2 are published, however this time around there are large gaps in the tables, where Head Teachers have supported actions from their own staff not to carry out the tests.
In Birmingham around about 160 schools took the stance that the key stage 2 tests put too much pressure on to pupils and refused to take part in this nationally recognised system. Some might well say that they were probably the worst 160 schools, well that is far from the truth as many though not all were high achieving schools, it really did depend on the stance of the teaching unions at the school, the head teacher and tacit support from the Governing Body.
Anyway here are the results themselves for Brandwood Ward schools;
School name No of Achieving Achieving Ave. Ave.
Pupils grade 4 grade 4 point point
on role or higher or higher score score
English Maths 2009 2010
