Many a vulnerable young person in coming months, those that have a tendency to slip through the net at school will be the immediate victim and suffer most with the cuts taking place within the Connexion Services.
The client base, the young people, a number are those who know about social problems of all kinds, as they are or have been at the wrong end of them. Connexions Service personal advisers tends to hold out a helping hand and advise those young people on social as well as career and education opportunities.With local authorities, who obtain funds from The Government, to provide Connexions, struggling to manage the massive 24% area grant cut announced in June, the service's problems are about to get even worse.
But then it’s quite easy to cut services for young people, the tend to be of an age that don’t or won’t vote so there is little of nothing in it for politicians of the day, to hell with the future, it’s today that matters!!!!
