Fancy a new job, then one is going at the newly formed Greater Birmingham Local Enterprise Partnership, they are looking to fill the post of Chairman, once this one is filled, I suppose they will then be looking for a CEO and then more managers of differing degrees of responsibility.
Newly formed organisations, speaking from my own experience, all start off with lean cut management and within a very short period, grow arms and legs, becoming bureaucratic monsters in no time at all. It seems that you now days judge the importance of a person by the numbers that work for them, which is ludicrous.
I sincerely hope that the Greater Birmingham LEP does work out and hope that it doesn't become anything like AWM, who at one time was one of the largest land holders in the West Midlands, rather than a training and regeneration super body.
