To Hell With The Workers- Lets Get The Awards And Accolades

On the day that Birmingham City Council announced that up to 10,000 employees could be loosing their jobs by April next year, Alan Rudge said "I am delighted to inform you that at the Personnel Today Awards 2010 on Tuesday 30th November, the Council’s Human Resources Team was winner in the “Award for Excellence in Public Sector HR” category for my Human Resources Innovative Change Agents initiative" not only but also, "This was a tremendous achievement, but eclipsed when Human Resources were declared overall Gold Award winners, beating 17 other category winners comprising predominantly private sector organisations that included KPMG, Marks and Spencer, River Island, InterContinental Hotels Group, Lloyds, Morrison amongst many others."
Does he not know the suffering many employees are to endure in the coming months?
Of course not, he's a solicitor by day a part-time councillor, cabinet member, so doesn't live in the real world, hence doesn't appreciate what he and his colleagues are doing to our employees.
